Financial Engineer

Location(s): Windsor, Connecticut - Hybrid

This position is part of a team that provides risk analytic calculations and reports to asset managers, investors, and regulators. The team manages position-level data, identifies the risk characteristics of investment positions, applies appropriate financial models, and configures results to meet the required reporting structures.

What You Will Get to Do

• Manage investment position data for upload into the risk calculation system.
• Run financial models necessary to calculate the metrics required by the client.
• Analyze reported results for accuracy.
• Deliver reports to clients.
• Explain and answer client questions regarding risk calculations and reports.
• Assist in preparing sales demonstrations for prospective clients.

What You Will Bring

• Strong background in mathematics, particularly financial mathematics.
• Experience working with large datasets and financial analysis software.
• Proficiency in computer and database languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Customer-oriented attitude.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in financial or risk mathematics or a related field.
• Passed or planning to take CFA Charter holder or FRM courses/exams.
• Be able to code in Python, SQL, and VBA.
