Description
Drum Workshop (DW Drums), a legacy brand and world leader in the music industry, is hiring a CAD Designer to join our CAD team. Reporting to the EVP of Research & Development, this role will be responsible for creating CAD models and 2D drawings from existing company products and 3D models for both our drum and hardware product lines.
This is an in-office position so you must be a commutable distance to our Oxnard headquarters. Drummer or other musician? Move to the head of the line!
What You'll Do as a CAD Designer:
- Create CAD models and 2D drawings from existing company products
- Create 2D drawings from exiting 3D models
- Work with EVP to capture 3D models and 2D drawings of new product ideas
- Communicate with various departments and incorporate knowledge gained into drawings
- Work with engineering & manufacturing teams to investigate and resolve problems with existing designs
- Create schematics, manuals, assembly documents as requested
- Manage workflow by utilizing project management tool, Basecamp
What You Bring as Our CAD Designer Lead:
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Proficient in Solidworks 3D models and 2D drawings
- Ability to work on several projects in tandem and motivated with an "Everything is possible" attitude.
- Self-starter who wants to work with a team and is always looking to improve.
- Proven ability to work efficiently, effectively manage timelines and expectations, and produce high-quality deliverables.
- Detail oriented with a strong grasp of the overall big picture
