LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a full-time Sr. Network Engineer III to work in a hybrid setting for our client in Irvine, CA. The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining all network hardware and operations, including routers, switches, and firewalls. They will monitor network performance, evaluate and recommend new technologies, and lead their implementation. Additionally, they handle network security, manage telecommunications, and provide Tier 3 support for complex issues.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation of network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and access control servers.
- Monitor and analyze network performance across LAN, WAN, and WLAN to ensure optimal operation.
- Test, assess, and recommend new technologies for potential integration into the enterprise, and lead their deployment.
- Manage and administer network security, authentication systems, and remote access solutions.
- Evaluate and implement upgrades to networking devices and apply necessary security updates.
- Administer the telecommunications network to ensure effective communication services.
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex service desk issues and mentor Network Engineer I/II staff.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, setting up rule sets, creating rule sets and setting up IP Security Tunnels with Cisco Firepower Threat Defense
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, setting up rule sets, creating rule sets and setting up IP Security Tunnels with Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and routing Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and routing Enhanced Exterior Gateway Routing Protocol and Border Gateway Protocol (EGP/ BGP) – Exterior gateway protocol
- 5+ years of experience setting up connections with service providers using BGP
- 5+ years of experience routing and switching (ideally using cisco catalyst, cisco nexus 9k and 3k, ASR + ISR Routers)
- Willingness to Travel around Southern California to Data Centers 10% of the time
- 3+ years of experience with Cisco Identity Service Engineer (ISE)
- 3+ years of experience with Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA)
- Experience with NAT
- Experience with IPsec
Compensation/Benefits: Total comp $200k
