Mechanical Engineer - CMC Approval

DNV - Maritime, Region Americas is seeking anMechanical Engineer - CMC Approval to join our team. As a Certification of Materials and Components (CMC) Mechanical Engineer, you will be member of a highly qualified team of individuals fulfilling certification design approval activities for the offshore Oil and Gas, Drilling, and Maritime industries.

This role is based at our DNV office in Katy, TX, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from the DNV office. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.

What You'll Do

• Design assessment activities for components and systems for the maritime and offshore sectors, as well as with independent 3rd party verification services of the same.
• Design assessment activities for certification of equipment and systems to Class Society rules and standards as well as Verification of equipment and systems to other recognized industry specifications.
• Perform design assessments of mechanical equipment, pressure equipment, and control/monitoring systems for clients within the US/Canada.
• Ensure that the work or duties performed are in accordance with the Rules, Regulations, Instructions, Guidelines and quality requirements of the organization and the instructions of the line management.
• Maintain the confidentiality of Clients' business, processes, designs, developments, and documentation at all times.
• The person should have a solid background in Mechanical engineering or reasonable engineering equivalent, with the ability to function effectively in high pressure environments while multi-tasking, be self-motivated and resourceful.
