Software Development Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to work on continuous improvement efforts in a small development team environment. Efforts will be focused on implementation of functional software solutions, as well as test automation and further evolution of robust CI/CD pipelines. You will work with product management to help define software requirements and implement the solutions in a small development team environment. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision while also collaborating with team members. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills, experience in agile methodologies is a plus. The individual and team goal will be to develop high-quality software that is aligned with user needs and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop high-quality software design and architecture
2. Producing, testing and debugging software solutions
3. Providing peer leadership in an Agile team environment
4. Technical interaction with product management and customers
5. Coordination with management and internal teams
6. Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
7. Perform validation and verification testing
8. Document development phases and monitor systems
9. Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies

Requirements:

1. Proven Mainframe knowledge and skills
2. IBM Assembler language proficiency
3. C/C++ and Java language proficiency
4. DB2 and relational database and internals skills
5. Database design and SQL skills
6. Source control systems and interactive debugging tool experience
7. Experience developing/utilizing test automation
8. Experience with DevOps and Continuous integration tools
9. Strong Database Application design and implementation skills including schema design, queries, procedures, triggers etc.
10. Familiarity with various operating systems, particularly z/OS
11. Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude

Experience: Bachelor's and 5+ years of related experience.

Compensation And Benefits:

The annual base salary range for this position is $78,000 - $130,000. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
