This role will be based in Sunnyvale HQ. (The following office locations may also be considered: New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, Omaha). Job Overview

We're looking for an experienced and talented person to be a technical lead for the team responsible for our global footprint of collaboration services. This position will require you to work cross-functionally with stakeholders across engineering teams, marketing, finance, and additional internal customers to drive progress towards goals. The ideal candidate will have led experience-driven change that resulted in increased organizational productivity and performance with a portfolio of competing tools (Slack, Teams, Zoom).

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, deploy, and manage enterprise platforms such as Microsoft M365, SharePoint, Teams, Slack, Tableau, Zoom, and Google Workspace; plan & prioritize the service roadmap and enhancements.
  2. Act in owner and expert roles with collaboration technologies across applications, infrastructure, devices, and physical spaces.
  3. Guide the team to self-organize in refining & managing the product backlog and delivering quality services ahead of demand.
  4. Influence the product roadmap of collaboration vendors to meet the stated business and technical needs of the organization.
  5. Champion the end-user perspective around their use of and problems with our collaboration tools.
  6. Seek out sources of tech debt and internal and external service friction, and collaborate to resolve them.
  7. Identify solution and integration gaps, drive gap analysis and closure through responsible teams.
  8. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for enterprise tool usage.
  9. Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of tools and infrastructure.
  10. Create processes to autonomously manage technology for services.
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and deliver customized solutions.
  12. Facilitating technical discussions and decision-making.
  13. Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, and assess their applicability to business goals.
  14. Lead and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS Degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  2. 5+ years of experience in designing, architecting, managing and supporting enterprise platforms in a large-scale environment.
  3. 5+ years experience with network protocols, security principles, and IT infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master’s Degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
  2. Background in an engineering or development position.
  3. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  4. Strong project management and communication skills.
  5. Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, Google) are preferred.
  6. Experience steering a team delivering large, complex initiatives and projects from initiation to completion.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $146,000 to $242,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate.
