Synergis’ client, a global leader delivering streamlined global support solutions on behalf of technical product manufacturers, has engaged us to build a team of field engineers to perform a variety of tasks on analytical instrumentation systems. The selected team members will be responsible for troubleshooting and repair of hardware, on-site installation, customer training, and routine preventative maintenance.   • Field Services Engineer | Background and Scope Travel to multiple sites within a specified region to provide onsite services including:
  • Troubleshooting
  • Hardware Repair
  • Basic Software troubleshooting
  • Product Installation
  • Basic Client training post installation
  • Installs hardware / software & networks devices and configures product at customer sites.
  • Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
  • Performs maintenance and repairs
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
  • Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
  • Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software.


  • Field Services Engineer | Requirements A Bachelor's degree in electronics and/or chemistry or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience as a field engineer supporting Analytical Instrumentation products, with 80% of that support being hardware focused (any experience with chromatography devices is a huge plus)
  • Basic knowledge of networking (ability to connect devices to the network and ping them to ensure connectivity)
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and power systems
  • Ability to follow detailed technical instruction sets.
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor with tight deadlines.
  • Exemplary technical and process troubleshooting skills.
  • Log gathering experience.
  • Understanding of remote troubleshooting techniques and tools
  • Case management experience (Salesforce Service Cloud preferred but not required)
  • Technical aptitude paired with ability & desire to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose problems and work independently to solve them.
  • Dedication and focus on customer satisfaction and follow-through.
  • Manage all internal & external interactions in a professional and courteous manner.


  • Field Services Engineer | Preferred Previous experience providing technical support, onsite in a laboratory environment is a huge plus!
  • Any experience with Chromatography systems (gas or liquid) will be highly valuable, but not required.


  • Field Services Engineer – Chromatography | Other: Ability to work for any US based company without sponsorship, now or anytime in the future.

Ability to travel to various locations on a daily basis and interact with a broad range of customers within a laboratory environment

The compensation range for this position is $47/hr. to $60/hr. (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
