Job Summary

The Sr. Developer is responsible for providing software development and maintenance of applications for SERVPRO corporate and franchise initiatives. Development responsibilities include architecting solutions that follow development standards and integrate with other systems, building software in a consistent manner to meet business requirements, and unit testing software components to ensure business requirements are fulfilled.

You will

  • Provide strategy, design, and direction for medium to large scale software development initiatives, including existing system enhancements, new system code development, web-based initiatives, systems conversions, and other technical efforts requiring software development.
  • Provide production support to assigned lines of business and applications which includes handling initiatives and small development requests, resolving issues and removing defects.
  • Lead development efforts on projects overseeing the development efforts of one or more developers ensuring SERVPRO standards are followed and business requirements are fulfilled.
  • Architect solutions that follow SERVPRO development standards and integrate with other systems.
  • Participate in planning and prioritization sessions to understand scope and provide estimates for coding.
  • Unit test each software component to ensure business requirements are fulfilled.
  • Assist with migration of code from the developer workstation to the test server.
  • Resolve defects by priority and severity that are discovered during testing by assigned QA Analyst(s).
  • Ensure that all technical application artifacts are archived in a code repository.
  • Complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner and escalate any risks to Management proactively.
  • Provide consistent and concise status reports as requested by Management.
  • Provide other duties and functions as requested by Management.
  • Mentor and train other developers on SERVPRO processes and applications.

You have

  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
  • Minimum of five years successful experience in software development in an Agile environment. Experienced in the Microsoft development environment using C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET Core, Knockout JS, Angular, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework Core, jQuery, Ajax, Telerik Kendo, Bootstrap, and REST API experience.
  • Experience with AWS technologies including Simple Storage Service (S3), Simple Queue Notification Service (SQS), Simple Notification Service (SNS), Elastic Container Service (ECS), ECS Fargate, Lambda, Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Application Load Balancers, Simple Systems Manager (SSM), CloudFront and CI/CD Pipeline Automation (Gitlab) highly desired.
  • Must possess good written skills, positive attitude and initiative, high degree of analytical and interpersonal skills, and a teamwork approach. Additional experience should include how to apply development efforts to achieve business objectives and revenue goals.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business-related field.
  • Ability to work additional hours required as needed to complete testing assignments and projects on schedule.
