BC Society of Engineering and Geoscience – Executive Director

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (“ED”) is responsible for founding and operationalizing the BCSEG, resulting in the successful leadership and management of the organization. With an initial mandate of creating a financially viable and sustainable operating model, the ED will focus on building the organization from the ground-up, in close partnership with the Board. Once a long-term funding framework is realized, the ED’s focus will shift to advocacy and growing membership by defining a clear value proposition and suite of services to prospective members. The ED is ultimately responsible for the achievement of the BCSEG’s mission, mandate, strategy and vision, as well as its annual goals and objectives.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a resourceful leader to build an organization that will serve a large cross section of essential industries and the professionals who operate in the engineering and geoscience spaces. The ED should build culture, leveraging EDI best practices and an understanding of Indigenous relations.
