The Denver County Court (DCC) is seeking a Senior IT Developer to join our specialized team.
Who We Are
The mission of Denver County Court is to administer justice fairly, efficiently, and effectively; provide excellent customer service, and foster a positive environment where employees enjoy their work. The City and County of Denver’s third branch of government is comprised of 19 judges, 4 full-time magistrates, and 300 staff members. Case types include state, civil, small claims, traffic, criminal, and other general sessions cases within the City and County of Denver. The Denver County Court proudly serves the community and continually seeks ways to incorporate procedural fairness and evidence-based practices.
The Division
The Court IT Department team consists of 4 System Administrators, 4 Developers, Data and Business Analysts, Infrastructure Supervisor, and an IT Director. As a small team, we strive to create a culture that fosters open communication, goal orientation, and results. The team supports each other while providing a fun environment.

What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $96,275.00 - $158,854.00. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM, with the possibility for two work from home days a week upon the successful completion of probation. This position will work at the Denver Post Building 101 W Colfax Ave. Denver, CO 80202.
The Job
As a Senior IT Developer, you can expect to:
- Perform lead work including analysis of user requirements, database administration, and systems design and development
- Mentor other IT Developers on the team
- Be a part of a dynamic, collaborative, and specialized team
- Develop, enhance, and maintain custom records management systems for Court in .Net and C# environments
- Collaborate with other city agencies such as City Attorneys’ Office, District Attorneys’ Office, Denver Police Department, State Judicial, DMV, and CBI
- Provide internal customer service via the help desk, when needed
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively and be open to new technology and innovative ideas. Additionally, the candidate will have the following:
- .NET and .NET Core Software Development experience
- Database skill including developing SQL stored procedures and queries
- DevOps experience for codebase management
- Desire to always learn and improve
- Collaborative and supportive team spirit
Required Minimum Qualifications

- Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field.
- Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional level experience developing, modifying, and implementing operating systems, business applications, enterprise architecture design, and maintaining databases and servers.
- Education and Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
- License/Certification Requirement: Must obtain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) clearance within the probationary period. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
