Dixon Quick Coupling is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team! You will play an integral part in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability through testing. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and administering standard work and employee training. You will collaborate closely Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Sales teams foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement and facilitate problem solving and corrective action. Your expertise in quality engineering principles will be critical in identifying root causes of defects, implementing corrective actions, and driving initiatives to enhance product performance. The ideal candidate will be able to investigate, establish and implement requirements for inspection and testing methods, techniques and equipment. You will also be responsible for compliance and maintenance of the Quality Management System. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Investigate, establish, and implement requirements for inspection and testing methods, techniques, and equipment
  • Share and standardize best practices and processes
  • Develop and administer standard work practices and employee training
  • Establish new quality processes to eliminate waste and streamline flow using lean methodologies
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes
  • Use statistical methods to establish sampling plans, determine process capability, implement control charts, and improve gage performance
  • Perform audits in support of the quality system which will include internal, process and product audits
  • Assist in responding to customer concerns and resolutions through RGAs and corrective actions
COMPETENCIES:
  • Bachelors Degree required with a preference in Engineering
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar Quality role in a manufacturing environment
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
  • ASQ CQE Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 certification regulations required
  • Experience with SPC data analysis, problem solving and lean methodologies
  • Capable of working under minimal supervision while directing activities of other associates as necessary
  • Ability to work in a team-based culture, interacting and effectively communicating with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain departments
  • Must be highly motivated with good organizational and analytical/technical problem solving skills
  • Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
