Summary
The Software Engineer, Backend will be responsible for building and maintaining automation platform using leading edge technology such as Node.js, Typescript, Playwright, and AWS services such as ECS, Elasticsearch, ElastiCache, and S3, all organized as elegantly as possible to promote code re-use, and quick delivery. This role will collaborate across teams to build a worldclass platform within the healthcare revenue cycle. Our Software Engineers have a high degree of ownership, autonomy over their work, and a passion for innovating new software solutions that have never been done before.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the foundational software components for delivering effective and scalable automations.
- Innovate scalable systems to support existing automations and software.
- Use our value proposition to drive alignment of stakeholders to deliver the best product for our customers.
- Identify opportunities for automation within software processes.
- Install applications and databases relevant to automation.
- Collaborate with other business units to identify and gather requirements to develop the best automation solutions.
- Define, improve, and own software features and surrounding software systems long-term health and functionality
- Design and implement automated tests that support new and existing features using scripts that automatically test functionality.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, and Node.js
- Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals (OOP, design patterns, abstraction-first thinking, etc).
- Experience with SQL and database.
- Experience with cloud development (AWS is a plus).
- Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and complex problems.
- Excellent prioritization, logical deduction and organizational skills.
- Ability to innovate in a fast-growing work environment and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
- Highly motivated self-starter who is an excellent team player.
- Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) skills.
