Job Summary

The .Net Developer III is responsible for the design and development of .NET applications, maintaining effective security aligned with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, state and federal requirements. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining databases in support of .NET applications, performing daily administration of .NET Servers and organizational Intranet systems, and ensuring all database projects and processes are fully documented.

The .Net Developer III must also ensure that documentation is created for system designs and modifications, and assist collaboratively in following the established software development life cycle procedures to develop, test, and modify system software and utilities. This role supports integrations with other applications by coding, reviewing, preparing test data, testing, and debugging to ensure that the developed software is robust and meets user functional and performance requirements. The developer must foster and maintain professional relationships with team members and other departments to enhance team effectiveness and customer satisfaction, acting as a Subject Matter Expert and mentor for other staff.

Duties

  1. Lead and evaluate solutions to production issues and new projects.
  2. Work closely with application developers to resolve production issues.
  3. Prepare short and long-term plans for infrastructure projects and provide technical leadership for company projects.
  4. Recommend schedules for database upgrades and assist in planning and implementing major software upgrades.
  5. Ensure all database projects and processes are fully documented.
  6. Develop and maintain databases in support of .NET applications.
  7. Evaluate business operations and processes to identify areas for technical improvement.
  8. Provide training, recommend process improvements, and mentor junior staff.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science. In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Education Preferred

Master's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.

Experience

Required: At least 5 years of experience in a technical function creating and maintaining .Net databases and software applications.

Preferred: Experience with Managed Health-care Information systems, subsystems, and applications.
