We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating elegant user experiences for web and mobile app platforms. This opportunity requires hands-on experience in frontend engineering and development, with specific focus in React and React Native. You will be responsible for leading implementation of product features, advocating for API designs, and building easy-to-use and stable software solutions that power Ubiety’s latest products.
In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience and performance. We believe strongly that if you contribute to adding to Ubiety’s value, you should share in that value.
Standard Salary Range: $145,000-$165,000 annually plus equity
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, demonstrating an expert level in frontend development.
- Fluency in Javascript, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Possess deep familiarity and hands-on experience with React and React Native frameworks, demonstrating the ability to build scalable and responsive user interfaces.
- Bonus points for experience with native Android development
- Expert understanding of REST APIs and general API design principles, with a keen ability to seamlessly integrate frontend components with backend services.
- Familiarity with basic AWS services, indicating a capacity to work with cloud infrastructure teams to enhance application performance and scalability.
- Experience working with Git and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with other developers, contributing to projects in a team environment.
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal, ensuring clear communication within the team and with stakeholders.
What you'll be doing
- Be a leader on our small, tight team of frontend engineers to design and implement elegant user interfaces and product features
- Be the frontend representative during collaboration around feature designs with our Product Team, always thinking of solutions that enhance the user experience
- Implement designs accurately with high-quality, reusable code
- Develop high-quality code, with an emphasis on elegance and stability
- Build and document Ubiety’s new features and capabilities
- Contribute ideas for what we should be building next to support our product, business, and scalability goals
- Collaborate with our Quality Assurance team who tests our product, and lead response to any potential bugs in a timely manner with scalable fixes
- Drive design and implementation of a scalable, secure, performant build process for continuously releasing quality updates to our web and mobile applications
- Spearhead initiatives to increase test coverage and code quality across all of our frontend codebases
- Review teammates’ code and respond to teammates’ feedback on your code, being the authority on best practices
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, pair programming and unblocking colleagues
- Foster and promote a culture of technical excellence
