Job Description

Role Summary

Main Tasks

1. Plan required budgets and human resources in area of responsibility
2. Establish and maintain exchange with global manufacturing engineering
3. Ensure that latest knowledge in industry and best practices in companies are applied
4. Contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing processes on group level
5. Close collaboration with R&D to ensure design for manufacturing
6. Apply latest technology from related industry to ensure competitiveness
7. Ensure the appropriate balance between automation and manual production processes
8. Support continuous improvement for new and existing processes to ensure competitiveness of production costs
9. Ensure that engineering, maintenance and tool shop team and other manufacturing departments are working together cohesively
10. Ensure with Operation and Supply Chain Management required access to plant equipment for new product introduction (tuning, pre-series and training phases) and maintenance activities
11. Ensure compliance with HSE legislation; apply policies and processes; provide healthy, safe and environmentally friendly work places and state-of-the-art production processes and infrastructure;
12. Apply adequate protection and emergency concepts based on continuously updated risk assessments
13. Ensure that all relevant internal and external norms and standards (e.g. ISO/IATF) are applied
14. Contribute to improvement of plant carbon footprint
15. Lead, direct, develop and coordinate a high-performance team under his supervision for engineering, maintenance and tool shop
16. Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed

Your Profile

Required:

1. University degree in Industrial Engineering or similar / comparable educational background
2. Min 5 years’ experience in manufacturing industry with 2 years in supervisory/management role

Technical & Functional Competencies:

Required

1. Familiar with required production processes and working processes (e.g. pleating, plastic injection molding, plastic welding, assembly)
2. Knowledge in applying IATF 16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements
3. Leadership Skills
4. Application of Lean Principles/ Six Sigma Belt preferred
5. Experience in PLC, data collection, and preventative maintenance
6. Experienced in Maintenance of Manufacturing or related Industry
