The right candidate for this position enjoys finding creative and unexpected ways to torture bits.DescriptionYour responsibilities will include developing a good understanding of ongoing development efforts across the operating systems teams; working alongside OS developers to create and implement comprehensive test plans during feature development; maintaining and extending automated test harnesses and infrastructures; writing automated tests for kernel and user space features; and generally enabling an increased quality and quantity of test coverage for various parts of the OS.Minimum QualificationsB.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.Excellent programming skills in C/PythonSolid understanding of the fundamentals of operating systemsUnderstanding of software development workflows and standard methodologiesKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsUnderstanding of testing methodologiesExperience working with a QE teamEducation & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
