Network Engineer IV Lead

Location: Monterey, California | Employment Type: Direct

The person in this position will serve as the Lead of Cyber Infrastructure Networking directorate. Responsibilities include testing and analyzing all elements of the network facilities and leading a team of 4 personnel.

Job Duties:

1. Monitor and analyze all network traffic.
2. Generate reports, create diagrams via Microsoft Visio, and propose solutions to optimize the network.
3. Architect and develop deployment and test plans for wire and wireless network-related solutions.
4. Attend and conduct meetings with other departments for integrated solutions.
5. Speak to and translate complex technical terminology to higher-level authorities.
6. Interface, work with, and assist customers and peers with customer services best practices.
7. Perform after-hours maintenance windows.
8. Ability to lift and implement devices at 30 lbs.

Job Requirements:

1. Educational requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university and/or the equivalent experience in network engineering.
2. Experience requirements include 7 years of progressive experience in computer system/network engineering, including 2 years of specialized experience related to the task.
3. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or equivalent network vendor certificate.
4. Experience with deployment and administration of routing, switching, wireless, firewall technologies, load balancing, and protocols.
5. Experience with Ruckus/Brocade routing/switching devices and operating systems.
6. Experience with Extreme Networks routing/switching devices and operating systems.
7. Experience with Aruba wireless devices and operating systems.
8. Experience with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager devices and operating systems.
9. Experience with Palo Alto Networks NGFW, Panorama, and operating systems.
10. Experience with VMware NSX-T or infrastructure as code datacenter deployments.
11. Experience with Ciena DWDM devices and operating systems.
12. Ability to interface with multiple monitoring systems and establish reports.

Required Qualifications:

1. CASP or CISSP certification.

Secret clearance.
