Pay Range: $55 - $60/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Design and Development: Create and maintain PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, and triggers.

Develop complex database solutions to support business needs.

Apply strong Oracle 10g/11g PL/SQL experience to design, modify, develop, and implement enterprise solutions.

Requirement Analysis: Analyze and translate requirements into technical specifications.

Ensure that developed solutions meet business needs and comply with best practices.

Performance Tuning: Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for maximum performance.

Perform database tuning and ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.

Software Support and Installation: Support and/or install software applications. Ensure smooth deployment and functionality across various environments.

Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.

Ensure developed solutions are robust and reliable.

Project Consultation: Provide consultation on complex projects.

Leverage extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project goals. Act as a top-level contributor and specialist in database technologies.

Innovation and Creativity: A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Stay up-to-date with the latest PL/SQL and database technologies, tools, and trends. Recommend improvements and enhancements to existing systems.

Documentation: Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and maintenance procedures.

Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, database administrators, and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Best Practices: Implement and promote coding standards, best practices, and security protocols for database development and management.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

Skills-Oracle PL/SQL, Advance Pl/SQL, Dynamic SQL.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.

At least 8+ years of experience in system analysis, design, and application implementation.

Demonstrated hands-on experience in the full development life cycle of enterprise-scaled software applications utilizing Oracle technologies, including PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle 10g/11g database server, and Oracle Reports.

Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.

Extensive experience with Oracle 10g/11g databases, Oracle Advanced Ques, Oracle LOB

Knowledge of Oracle Data Warehouse Builder, ETL processes, JSP, utPLSQL, Java, Servlets, JDBC, and Crystal Reports 2008 is a plus.

Familiarity with Oracle tools such as SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, and TOAD.

Knowledge of how to Read Explain plans.

Familiarity with JSON and XML Query Language in Oracle.

Experience in software application support and installation.

Understanding of database security best practices.

Ability to work on database design from scratch and not just ability to modify existing code.

Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve database-related issues.

Ability to analyze and translate complex requirements into actionable technical specifications.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.

Experience with cloud databases and services (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS).

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker).

Experience with Agile development methodologies.
