We are looking for applicants that enjoy working with and learning from their peers and are not afraid to jump in and make a difference!This position may be hired at a higher levelResponsibilities will include:Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficientlyBuilds scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraintsUnderstands, maps and optimizes critical path product flow through the factoryDevelops optimized scheduling tools and aligns SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraintsIncorporates complex interdependencies within a system to account for the interaction of multiple cost centers, programs, equipment, and toolsCommunicates requirements planning and systems framework with IT, ERP, business analytics, and data science teamsWorks with developers to design an interactive user interface that will be effective at scheduling jobs across cost centersGuides digital transformation efforts to align with sector and enterprise strategiesLeads and drives positive change using iterative and agile methodologiesCreates new metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performanceBasic Qualifications for Industrial Engineer (Level 2):Bachelor's of Science in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree with 1 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience; OR a Master’s of Science in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree with 0 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experienceExperience with data mining, data analysis, or data visualization software applicationsMust have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance and must have the ability to obtain and maintain special program accessAbility to travel at least 10%Basic Qualifications for Industrial Engineer (Level 3):Bachelor's of Science in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree with 4 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience; OR a Master's of Science in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree with 3 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience; OR a PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree with 0 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experienceExperience with data mining, data analysis, or data visualization software applicationsMust have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance and must have the ability to obtain and maintain special program accessAbility to travel at least 10%Preferred Qualifications:Real world aerospace manufacturing/engineering experienceExperience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environmentHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Formulas: VLOOKUP, INDEXMATCH, IF statements, pivot tables, pivot charts etc.)Proficiency in Microsoft Project (scheduling, resource loading, capacity, optimization)At least 2 years of demonstrated experience leading project teamsExperience with improving manufacturing workflow using optimization, modeling, or simulation methodsExperience with agile methods of project management or developmentEarned Value Management System (EVMS) "Gold Card" experience/trainingSalary Range: $79,300 - $118,900Salary Range 2: $97,500 - $146,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
