As a Staff Fullstack Engineer on the Marketplace Team, you will help advance our core purchasing platform to provide a modern e-commerce experience specifically tailored for scientific users. This includes allowing scientists to search millions of data-rich records when ordering equipment, chemicals, and lab consumables while providing suppliers with rich analytics about marketplace behavior.

You are a fit for the role if you enjoy creating comprehensive end-to-end solutions within a collaborative environment. Experience with e-commerce platforms or enterprise web applications is a plus. You are thoughtful in your approach to design and engineer solutions that meet business demands while optimizing for system health, security, and long-term maintenance.

    • Backend services supporting the entire marketplace including interfacing with data pipelines and supporting the frontend.
    • External integrations with third parties including different product information and order placement APIs.
    • Search infrastructure and optimizations for scientific use-cases.

What you bring to the team

  • You have a history of tackling large and complex problems and turning them into executable solutions.
  • You have experience as an owner/SME of technical & functional product areas.
  • You thrive in an open-ended environment where complex problems have many potential solutions that need to be identified, defined, and broken down in a systematic, repeatable, reliable, and scalable way.

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus

  • Deep knowledge of an area of our stack:
