Full Stack Python Developer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hard-core full stackPython Developer with 1 to 3 years work experience and strong/pragmatic python coding skills to join our risk/quant team. The successful candidate will participate in design, build out, and maintenance of a distributed, scalable and resilient platform for firm-wide Quantitative Analytics ('BAS', or Ben Analytics System). The Quant Engineering team is responsible for the firm's strategic repository for enterprise data and the firm's platform for all quantitative models related to pricing, portfolio construction and risk management. Note, this is NOT a quant developer, analyst, or researcher position.
Key Responsibilities:
. Develop and support new/existing scalable backend and frontend solutions around BAS including our quarter-end SBI process, data warehouse platform, AI-driven applications, Underwriting applications, various reporting dashboards, Trust Accounting applications, etc..
. Build web applications using Dash for the risk team and for end users to easily access and drill down on data through customizable reports.
. Work with Quant to productionalize models with object-oriented design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a STEM field
- Proven experience as a strong Python Developer.
- Strong understanding of SQL and database management.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Object Oriented design, preferably in the finance industry.
- Familiarity with Python Panda Dataframe
- Highly self-motivated, well organized, detail-oriented, and result-driven professional with strong multi-tasking skills and problem-solving abilities
- Balance strong, strong technical skills, analytical mindset yet commercially focused.
- Team player with the social skills and personality required to participate in large team efforts.
- Self-starter/learner who embraces agile development methodology and open-source frameworks and excels in a fast-paced work environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Python web development experiences using Dash or Flask
- Experience with LLM and AI (OpenAI, Claude, Llama, Hugging Face, etc..) and machine learning technologies/python libraries is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS is preferred).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, etc.)
- RESTful API
- CI/CD such as BitBucket Pipelines
- Git
- Prior experience at renowned investment or financial service group
