A Square Group (ASG), a seasoned federal government contractor, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for our Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) program. ASG, known for its innovative approach to technology solutions, specializes in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and network infrastructure, backed by solid CMMI Level 3 and ISO certifications.

Job Description:

The Senior Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in leading and enhancing our ZTA network infrastructure. This position demands an individual with extensive experience in network security, cloud technologies, and Zero Trust principles. This person should also have a strong background in product evaluation and testing.

What You Will Do:

  1. Design and implement secure cloud architectures on AWS for ZTA program initiatives.
  2. Lead the design and implementation of secure network architectures in a ZTA environment.
  3. Advanced proficiency in firewall technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), VPNs, SDWAN, and network segmentation.
  4. Expertise in cloud networking tools within AWS and Azure platforms.
  5. Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, etc.) and routing protocols.
  6. Conduct sophisticated network performance and security assessments.
  7. Lead cross-functional team collaborations for integrating cloud services with enterprise systems.
  8. Conduct architectural reviews and provide leadership in cloud strategy and infrastructure optimization.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud services with existing enterprise systems.

What We Need:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Relevant training certifications are a plus. In place of a degree, we will consider a combination of training, certifications, and years of experience.
  2. At least 8 years of experience in network engineering, preferably within a ZTA environment.
  3. Proficient with firewall technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet) and network segmentation.
  4. Mastery in AWS cloud networking services (VPC, Direct Connect) and Azure.
  5. Strong background in Zero Trust security models and their application in cloud infrastructures.
  6. Proficiency in AWS cloud services and management tools.
  7. Expertise with configuration management, system testing, and integration.
  8. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  9. Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.

Even Better:

  1. Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  2. Extensive experience in scripting for network automation (Python, PowerShell).
  3. Proficiency in DevSecOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Terraform, Git, Ansible).
  4. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  5. Certifications or advanced training in configuration management and Zero Trust Architecture.
  6. Proven analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. The ability to work collaboratively.

This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented network security professional with a passion for the Zero Trust model. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the security and efficacy of our ZTA program.

Clearance Level:

  1. Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
  2. U.S. Citizenship is required.
