We are seeking to fill one full time Senior QA Engineer position immediately in our Chicago, IL office.

As a Senior QA Engineer you will lead and mentor our QA team, grow and evolve our automated test pipeline, and collaborate with our Product Engineering teams to foster a culture of continuous testing.

What you will do with us…

  1. Lead in the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, reliable test automation systems using the full stack.
  2. Write test automations using such tools as Jest, Enzyme, Cypress, JUnit, Cucumber, Postman, utPL/SQL, and more.
  3. Coach, mentor, and guide peers, driving a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  4. Provide architectural guidance and vision for our test automation suite, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy.
  5. Work closely with Development and Product team and others within the organization to promote software quality standards.
  6. Design, track, and evolve QA metrics to support our process of continuous improvement.
  7. Follow an iterative software development methodology and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle and support.
  8. Embrace Agile development methodologies and practices.

We do ask that you have…

  1. 7+ years of experience working in test automation, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  2. 5+ years experience in UI Software Quality Assurance.
  3. 3+ years experience in database testing.
  4. Solid experience with front-end technologies like ReactJS, JavaScript, and HTML.
  5. Proficiency in back-end languages, especially Java and Python.
  6. Extensive experience testing REST APIs.
  7. Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools.
  8. Working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
  9. Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  10. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  11. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  12. Ability to build out and manage a comprehensive testing suite for full-stack applications.

  1. Proven expertise in leading large-scale projects and driving innovative solutions.
  2. Experience with performance and/or security testing.
  3. Experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
  4. Proven work experience in software development.
  5. Desire to learn the energy industry or experience in equities/commodities trading.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Compensation Range: $120,000 - $140,000 depending on experience and location.
