This individual will be involved in the specification, design, development and implementation of control systems for automated welding systems.Since 1989 AMET inc. has been an innovator and integrator of advanced welding systems to meet the most demanding applications. We have installed systems in the nuclear, aircraft, aerospace, oil & gas, wind tower, heavy industry, and general manufacturing industries.Salary is negotiable depending on experience/qualifications. Send resume to Responsibilities Include:Specify, Design, Develop and Test hardware/software for use in automated welding systemsPerform integration of AMET developed controls and customer specified mechanical systemsEffectively work and collaborate with a team of electrical and mechanical engineers; Attending weekly Engineering group meetings, and offer support for project related challengesParticipation in internal project kickoff meetings, production meetings, and project review meetings. Ability to offer input on project priorities and Engineering workload for setting schedules.Interface with Project Management, Procurement, Sales and Technical Support Teams to support Engineering & track delays that could impact schedulesBe knowledgeable about contracts, project build requirements, and system specifications.Assist with system quality reviews throughout the build cycle, and support final Q/A of systems to ensure readiness for customer Factory Acceptance Testing.Work quickly and accurately against deadlines; self-starter; with attention to detailMaintain professional relationship and appearance with customersWork well with ever-changing priorities and/or situationsOccasional Domestic and International travel required
