As a Software Engineer for the Transportation App Dev team, you will partner with the business and technical staff to deliver solutions and improve functionality to facilitate business opportunities using the Agile software development methodology.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Apply software engineering skills in full stack environment
- Utilize independent problem-solving skills to drive solutions and lead efforts in production support
- Provide support and maintenance for existing applications
- Participate in activities related to Agile software development methodologies
- Collaborate with Key Stakeholders from the business, working closely with Product Owners and Product Managers to deliver value against roadmap
- Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable technical abilities with application development, configuration, implementation, and support
- 5+ years of proven development software experience, including experience with one or more: Microsoft .NET/C#, .NET framework, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with Azure, Git, SQL, and/or DB2
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
- Experience with application systems involved in the support of ecommerce, food distribution, or transportation
- Experience within an Agile development environment and/or with Jira
ROLE SPECIFICS
- Some nights and weekends with on-call availability to support business needs
- Occasional overnight travel required. Must have ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train for customer/vendor calls, training, or meetings.
