AWS Partner Systems is looking for a results-oriented, self-driven Development who can help us create the next generation of distributed, scalable systems that support AWS' current and future business needs. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, relishes working with high volume of data, and enjoys the challenge of highly complex business contexts that are typically being defined in real-time. This candidate will design and develop services that process millions of transactions in a secured environment.

Our ideal candidate will be a hardcore developer with cloud experience. A successful candidate in this role is someone who loves building, is self-directed, knows how to get things done, can lead teams, and is not afraid to take on big challenges. Individuals interested in this position should have practical experience in building high-performance, reliable systems in a complex, multi-tiered, distributed environment (Service Oriented Architecture).

The ideal candidate will have experience working with Java, C++, and distributed computing technologies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
