Position Summary:
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to join the PlugShare team. You will work closely with stakeholders, collaborating and driving the next generation of the PlugShare experience. In this role, it will be important to have customer empathy and understand the user journey for EV drivers as you develop sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. The successful candidate will be strategic, creative, passionate, pragmatic with a collaborative working style.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver wireframes, prototypes and final designs for a wide range of devices and interfaces (iOS, Android, Web, automotive interfaces).
- Create user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to communicate design concepts and user flows.
- Advocate for the user and ensure that the user experience is a key consideration in all stages of product development.
- Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all digital products.
- Work with PlugShare’s research team to 1) develop user research and analyze user feedback to understand user needs and behaviors; 2) conduct usability testing and iterate based on user feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business goals.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in UX design and incorporate them into your work.
Required Skills and Experience:
- At least 3 years of UI/UX software product design experience in native mobile and web app/desktop experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (industrial, information architecture, interaction design, graphics, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your design process and high-quality user experience designs.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Miro, Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop or similar.
- Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Ability to communicate design concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
- Experience with user research and usability testing.
- Familiarity with web design best practices, Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, and Android’s design guides.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $100,000 USD to $110,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer discretionary target cash bonuses, restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval), and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, unbounded paid time off including parental leave, and a 401(k).
