JOB SUMMARY : Perform building preventative and outdoor maintenance and repairs of District stadium facilities. Support events occurring at District Stadium Facilities. Support the outdoor maintenance and upkeep of Campuses where District Stadiums are located during the off seasons.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The following tasks describe the basic functions of the job and represent the type of work performed. They do not constitute an exhaustive list of the duties and responsibilities performed on the job. The following frequencies and percentage of time spent are approximations only and are subject to flexibility dependent on organizational needs.
  • Perform building maintenance tasks including but not limited to: cleaning, graffiti removal, wall patching and painting, moving (internal to building), preventative maintenance checks and services, limited electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks. (Daily, 25%)
  • Support stadium events and activities by setting up, tearing down, and cleaning up. Open stadium at established times when applicable. (Daily, 25%)
  • Perform outdoor maintenance including sweeping steps, entryways, and alcoves, picking up trash, and emptying outdoor garbage receptacles. Remove snow and ice from walkways and entryways. Pressure wash exterior sidewalks. (Daily, 25%)
  • Respond to all radio and cell phone calls for service. (Daily, 15%)
  • Audit facilities and report maintenance needs to the appropriate supporting entity. (Daily, 5%)
  • Perform outdoor maintenance in the off seasons (May through July and November through February) including landscape maintenance (mowing, weeding, pruning, etc.) sweeping steps, entryways, and alcoves, picking up trash, and emptying outdoor garbage receptacles. Remove snow and ice from walkways and entryways. (Daily, 25%)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. (Daily, 5%)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : The minimum amounts of formal education, professional work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities that must be met for a candidate to be considered for a position
  • High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
  • No professional work experience required
  • Must meet insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self Insurance Pool
  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire

  • General maintenance, construction, or grounds experience
  • Experience with various tools (hand and power)
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS : The physical exertion, cognitive capacities, and work environments required to perform a position's duties and responsibilities
  • Medium work strength level (lifting or carrying 50 pounds)
