Job Description:
This position is for an Automation Engineer to work in the Electronics & Industrial (E&I) Marlborough site automation group providing value through automation across the site.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide process automation design and development to support top line growth, process optimization, troubleshooting, and capital projects.
2. Identify new process control improvement opportunities at various site manufacturing processes.
3. Support day-to-day operations with process control support on the DCS and Delta V systems.
4. Troubleshoot issues that affect manufacturing and be available for calls on off hours if problems arise.
5. Train new employees on the use of tools and automation.
6. Experience with Emerson Delta V Programming and OPC Communications.
7. Knowledgeable in PLC Programming, HMI configuration, Data Historian (Aspen IP21 or OSI PI), and MODBUS TCP Communications.
8. Understand manufacturing processes and data analysis to troubleshoot or develop new automation and process control applications.
9. Become an expert in applying process modeling and process automation simulation to assist manufacturing engineers and projects.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Engineering Degree.
2. 3 years of experience in design, development, and implementation of process automation solutions.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of chemical process requirements and experience with standard process control methods.
4. Experience in writing functional requirement documents for process automation projects.
5. Skills in programming or configuration of DCS and Delta V systems.
6. Must meet Dupont’s Manufacturing safety requirements, including the use of PPE and adherence to Dupont safety standards and processes.
