A client is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. Ideal candidate will have the ability to analyze and validate designs of complex machinery of varying types, as well as design machine systems. Education required:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college, or equivalent
- Currently licensed PE preferred
- Experience reviewing, developing, and producing mechanical and fabrication drawings for drive systems
- Experience in design/selection/analysis of drive systems and machinery components such as motors (a/c, servo,etc), gearboxes, brake systems, Pneumatic Systems, Hydraulic Systems, etc.
- Experience with 3d parametric modeling software
- Proficiency in 3D parametric modelling package(s); and Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering science and practice. (Stress & deflection of structures, power & torque of drivetrains, inertia of machinery and mechanisms
- Exceptional analytical and numerical competency for substantiating designs by calculation; and thorough understanding of first principles and experience of applying these to real-world applications
- Attention to detail and the ability to see the wider context of project work; Flair for translating creatively-led requirements into technically robust practical engineered solutions
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as take personal responsibility and work with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication, able to liaise with others at all levels in the company and with customers
- Strong work ethic and focus on delivery. Supportive team player, calm and level headed
- Willingness for occasional extended working hours and travel
- Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience using current or recent version of Ansys Mechanical Desktop
- Experience developing/implementing CAD/3D Modeling standards
- Experience performing analysis of complex systems, such as comprehensive Fatigue Analysis, e-stop/impact force analysis, etc)
