ROLE:
We are seeking a SQL/SSIS Senior Developer .
OVERVIEW:
- Seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL developer & data architect
- He/ She will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the client's data architecture and database systems for their reporting environment.
- They will be part of an agile team that combines various backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to solve complex problems within cloud and beyond.
- The person will also be required to participate actively in brainstorming sessions for improvement opportunities and take it to completion.
- A suitable candidate should have 9+ years of IT experience with at least 7+ years of experience working as an SQL developer & Data Architect.
- Experience in life insurance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Common Skillsets:
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client-ready deliverables with minimal or no supervision.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction
- Application development Skillsets:
- Strong computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, multithreading, object-oriented development, distributed applications, client-server architecture
- Ability to design and implement data processes:
- Strong SQL and work experience with MS SQL, or UDB.
- Strong experience with Stored Procedures
- Expand and optimize data pipelines, data flow, and collection for cross-functional teams.
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture by assembling large, complex data sets to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Ability to quickly pick up and understand where solutions would be appropriate for business applications.
- Identify and implement internal process improvements including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability.
- Support the building of data platforms and infrastructure required for optimal data extraction, transformations, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
- Work with architecture, data, and design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
- Experience with SSIS and ETL/ELT

- Denodo exposure
- Some Mainframe Development background
- Experience in web services, streaming and messaging technologies is a plus.
- Proven ability to optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing and stored procedure optimization.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team.
- Experience with collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing client and stakeholder expectations.
- Demonstrated experience with data governance, data security and privacy regulations.
- Bachelors/masters degree in computer science/engineering, operations research, or related analytics areas welcome to apply.
- 9+ years experience as an SQL Data Architect, preferably in Life Insurance but not mandatory
