Job Description/SummaryThis position may require site visits around the country and overseas. The Estimating Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Estimator with evaluating scope of work, performing quantity takeoffs, attending site visits, and preparing the cost estimates for construction projects and site work. This individual will also assist project managers and project quality control managers with procurement of subcontractors and vendors, preparing subcontracts, and attending meetings (both pre-con and onsite). Sage/Timberline estimating software experience is a plus.Duties and ResponsibilitiesGathering, calculating, and compiling take off data for use in bid proposal estimatesPreparing routine estimates under the supervision of the Project Estimator, Senior Estimator, Chief Estimator or VP of ConstructionMaintaining current and accurate information on prices from suppliers and subcontractorsUtilizing Sage/Timberline to present information to managementDemonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrityMinimum QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
