*Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 annually*
As a Customer Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance via phone and email. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by resolving issues related to our x86 hardware products and IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support for x86 computer hardware, including servers, GPUs, and networking equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to server performance, hardware failures, and network connectivity.
- Assist customers with Infiniband and switch configurations.
- Guide customers through the deployment and management of clusters.
- Manage and troubleshoot Linux systems and configurations.
- Create and use scripts to solve issues and help customers debug problems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.
- Document customer interactions and technical solutions accurately in the support database.
- Continuously update knowledge base articles to reflect new solutions and best practices.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing timely and effective support.
- Travel to customer sites for deployment or troubleshooting as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in a technical support or engineering role, preferably in the IT hardware industry.
- Strong knowledge of x86 hardware architecture and server components.
- Experience with GPU configurations and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Infiniband technology and switch management.
- Solid understanding of network switch and router configurations.
- Proficiency in Linux system management and troubleshooting.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and debugging purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus
- Experience with rack-level integration or testing.
- Experience in data center deployment or working with data centers.
