SUMMARY/OBJECTIVEThe CNC Operator (Different Levels, based on experience, available) will operate equipment according to established procedures in a safe and quality manner. Dimensional measurements will be required during the operation of equipment to assure compliance to requirements. Adjustments to the equipment will be executed during the operation of equipment to meet established run rates and part accuracy. This involves performing First Piece Inspection and continuous Quality activities. Equipment will include Mills, Lathes, CNC’s and screw machines.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESImplement and sustain S, Q, D, C, I activitiesDevelop, sustain and improve CNC machine tool methods and proceduresAssist tool selection in the development and implementation of fixtures for new product developmentDevelop standard work, tool setup sheets, and standard operations for production jobsTroubleshoot various problems (improper tooling, dull tools, wrong location of machined feature, code errors, etc.) and develop corrective action to prevent reoccurrencePerform Quality Assurance activities while operating equipment (Optical systems, calipers, gages, indicators)Participate in Productive Maintenance activitySUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
