Position Summary:
Come work for an exciting firm based in Chicago’s West Loop. We are looking for dynamic, hardworking candidates that like to have fun for this full-time SAP ABAP Consulting position. You will work with other consultants on our team to design and maintain data integration solutions for our customers by interacting with users and partnering with functional resources to understand operational and strategic objectives. We also ask that interested candidates be open to expanding their skills within the SAP technical portfolio, providing additional opportunities for both short and long term career growth.
Responsibilities & Skills:
Participate in the design, installation, configuration, and development of SAP solutions for large enterprise customers.
Design and maintain data integration solutions to meet operational and strategic objectives.
Adhere to standard development techniques and procedures.
Maintain a high level of knowledge in the field of data integration solutions development and new technologies and tools available.
Ensure processes and technical skills are in place to perform consistently and deliver high quality results and value to customer.
Be prepared to expand functional and technical knowledge in areas outside of core ABAP integration. This includes becoming proficient in SAP modules PM, IM, WM and MM and SAP MRS.
Build strong relationships with customers to improve services and ensure service levels are achieved.
Apply strong knowledge of programming, technologies, processes, and methodologies to develop, maintain and support business applications.
Mentor and train less experienced resources.
Work on-site and remotely with customer business and technical teams
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in technical area preferred
2+ years of experience in developing using core SAP ABAP. This includes using OOP and all SAP enhancement techniques
2+ years of experience working with IDocs, Proxies, and Webservices
2+ years of experience in developing in Gateway, and OData technologies
Experience and skills in SQL and PL/SQL for Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
Knowledge of relational database systems such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, and MySQL
Preferred:
Training or functional knowledge of SAP PM, MM, IM, WM, SM, and/or CRM modules
1+ years of experience working with agile software design methodology for development and documentation
Self-starting, ability to work without direct supervision, managing own workload while asking for help when needed
Exceptional Customer Service Orientation
Ability to work successfully in a team environment
