Job Details
Civil Design Engineer Responsibilities
- Perform civil design calculations and prepare construction plans, exhibits, reports and other documents.
- Use AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and other design software to plan and design projects to be in line with industry and government standards.
- Meet with Team Leads and/or Project Managers to review project development and assess any issues.
- Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors in risk analysis for a project
- Construct and submit permit applications to local and state agencies, verifying that projects comply with various regulations
- Provide construction cost estimates.
- Use of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Requirements
- Civil Design Engineer with preferably 2-6 years of professional design experience.
- Well-versed with AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and hands on experience with Hydraulic Analysis.
- An E.I.T. and/or P.E. certification preferred. Commercial, Industrial and Residential experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
