We are seeking an accomplished Technical Manager to join our team in building the internal applications that support our field research and Homes.com content curation departments. This position is located in our Richmond, VA office and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

1. Lead an agile software development team (approximately 4 people);
2. Lead Scrum ceremonies;
3. Deliver done-done features at high velocity.
4. Act as a player-coach, who can mentor & coach team members into highly productive team players.
5. Promote can-do attitude, engineering mindset and collaboration as fundamental team values.
6. Translate business requirements into technical requirements.
7. Develop project plan and work schedules for use by scrum development team.
8. Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and other Agile teams throughout the organization to deliver on large initiatives.
9. Work with recruiting to identify, hire and onboard top industry talent.
10. Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices that can be leveraged to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices.

Basic Qualifications

1. 3+ years of relevant work experience managing software development teams
2. 3+ years’ experience in web and database technologies
3. 3+ years’ experience building large distributed, API-driven systems.
4. Strong understanding of OOP and software design patterns
5. Experience leading technical teams, working through complex requirements and offering relevant, timely technical solutions.
6. Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college
7. Track record of commitment to prior employers

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in developing Web Applications
2. Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React and Vue is desired.
3. Experience with .Net Core 6.x, C#, Relational (SQL Server) and Document Data Systems (DynamoDB, ElasticSearch) a plus.
4. Experience with AWS S3, Kafka, Redis a plus.
5. Experience with Docker and container orchestration
6. Commercial or Residential Real Estate knowledge is a bonus.
