We provide the highest performing, most reliable, and most intuitive propulsion solutions to consumers, and we are committed to being the best partner for our stakeholders.Join our team as Engineering Test Technician in St. Cloud, Florida!Position SummarySupport engineering activities such as test system programing, software updates, test program backups, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting & repair. Responsible for quality assurance and documentation. Relies on a complete understanding of electronic theory, computer skills, schematics, drawings, specification, and other documentation from engineering along with pre-established guidelines to perform job functions. Works with minimal immediate supervision. Provide training and technical leadership for other employees troubleshooting, repair & rework activities.Your responsibilities include but not limited to:Performs troubleshooting, failure analysis and test of assemblies using bench-top test equipment, custom test beds, and automated test systems in compliance with quality assurance policies and methodologiesProvide test engineering floor support to production personnel, including the maintaining, troubleshooting and repair of test system software and hardwareTrain and support test operators on test equipment, materials and processesProvide troubleshooting guidance and technical leadership to rework technicians and operatorsCommunicate problems to Test Engineers and/or production personnel as appropriateParticipate in continuous improvement. Recommend improvements to product flow and throughput, work sequences, test processes and debug techniques. Document as requiredMonitors production processes and test systems to decrease no defects found (NDF’s)Assist engineering in test system fabricationMaintains a clean, safe, work environment and follow all published/posted safety standardsThis position normally requires exposure to manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses with side shields and safety shoes/bootsKnowledge, Skills and Ability RequirementsIn-depth understands of electronic theory, both digital and analogSkills in computer integration, control and communication with test equipment, test system electronics, sensors, and input/output modulesWorking knowledge of programing, experience with the LabVIEW programing language a plusProficient in test measurement and troubleshooting techniques on electronic assemblies/subassemblies in a manufacturing environment involving Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and EOL Test SystemsInterpret, and comprehend schematics, mechanical drawing, data sheets, functional specifications, block diagrams, performance specifications, bill of materials (BOM) and engineering change orders (ECO)Demonstrates the ability to use a multimeter, programmable power supply, and digital oscilloscopeProficient in basic shop skills using hand and power toolsAwareness of safety and environmental regulationsKnowledge of quality standards and production techniquesDemonstrates problem solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutionsUnderstand and uses continuous improvement toolsProficient in Microsoft office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)Excellent written and verbal communication skill in EnglishEffective interpersonal skillsEffective multitasking skills and ability to take on additional responsibilities as requiredEffective organization and prioritization skillsWorks individually and in team environmentAble to work overtime when neededEducation and Experience RequirementsTwo-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field; 2-4 years’ experience in test and repair of complex electronic assemblies and systems to component levelNext is Now!We value growth and development, recognizing that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
