We are looking for a Professional willing to join our Technical Services department , in particular, the team dedicated to Melt Shops technologies.
The candidate should have a strong motivation to work within an international and challenging environment .
You will carry on the following activities:
- Coordinate with the Project Manager the technical relations with the customer, to find the best design and compromise in terms of cost savings and respect of the contract.
- Plan the engineering activities and participate in the overall project planning and scheduling.
- Ensure the flow of information between engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, etc.).
- Participate, if necessary, in the project setup phase.
- Tackle and solve with the client/partners and the Site all the design problems, compiling and generating design drawings.
- Elaborate/control, in compliance with contractual conditions, the technical specification and bill of materials to be sent to Purchase/ production.
- Co-operate with the project manager in the activities of search, selection, and qualification of suppliers.
- Participate in the commissioning/acceptance execution activities.
- Support the analysis of commercial opportunities in the geographic area of reference, including possible commercial agreements with agents.
- Examine the risk aspects associated with the offer, together with the risk committee.
- Carry out negotiations with prospects.
- Follow clients to maintain/improve the relationship with them to create further business opportunities.
- Study and define, with the support of technical departments, the technical offer and relevant attachments, and highlight eventual criticalities to the Department Director.
- Review contract drawings and ensure that specifications are met.
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Freshly graduate or maximum of 3 years of experience.
- Understand the cost of design (including the cost of deliverables generation) and the ability to estimate costs related to a project or specific activity.
- Basic knowledge of project management methods and knowledge of all project lifecycle phases.
- Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience working for an engineering company
- Applications and improvements of technical knowledge into design criteria that suit project requisition. and/or support the design of new components/equipment.
- Knowledge of engineering models and/or drafting environment, including applications and products across the disciplines (electrical, mechanical, etc.). Understanding of engineering interfaces in terms of dependencies among disciplines.
- Familiarity and ability to use specific AutoDesk CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD).
- Experience directly related to the steel industry is a plus.
Salary: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift
Work Location : In office, Coraopolis, PA 15108
Ability to commute/relocate: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work and availability to travel on the client site as needed (Required).
