DevOps Security Engineer

Title - DevOps Security Engineer

Location: Remote

Duration: 10 months

Pay rate: $63.38 per hour on W2

Responsibilities:

1. Work with multiple teams to design, deploy, and support large scale clustered software platforms in multiple datacenters and public clouds around the world.
2. Deliver highly secure and efficient solutions within comprehensive compliance regulations (including FedRAMP, SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, PCI, etc.).
3. Integrate diverse technologies in multiple environments to provide monitoring, alerting, and reporting of performance and costs.
4. Work in an agile operations framework, balancing sprint-based work with daily operational needs.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve system outages or performance impact and communicate findings for ongoing improvement.
6. Work with third-party hardware and software vendors to recommend solutions and drive performance/cost efficiency.
7. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Experience in Public Cloud Infrastructure (Azure/AWS Preferred).
2. Experience operating secrets management tools (HashiCorp Vault preferred).
3. Experience using orchestration, automation and configuration management solutions (Jenkins/Terraform/SaltStack/Rundeck preferred).
4. Experience deploying a modern monitoring stack (Prometheus/Grafana Preferred).
5. Experience maintaining DNS infrastructure (bind preferred).
6. Ability to recommend, design, build, and support complicated solutions at scale.
7. Understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and related technologies.
8. Knowledge of software version control systems and release management (Git preferred).
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Deep knowledge of Security Groups and Policies, API Gateways, and Security Governance on AWS/Azure.
