Role: Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Boston, MA
Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000+ DOE
POSITION SUMMARY: Over the past 40 years we have established ourselves as one of the top high-end, modern builders in the world and we are now looking to grow our Boston team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience designing and engineering mid-rise to high-rise vertical structures, has worked on a variety of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber buildings, and interested in growing a company's national footprint. DUTIES AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop, supervise, and approve a variety of structural projects
• Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, analytical models, reports, and correspondence
• Handle day to day Construction Administration: review drawings, RFIs, and field observations
• Stay up to date on local and federal building codes and regulations
• Evaluate existing structures for repair needs
• Perform site inspections and provide reports for existing and new buildings
• Identify potential risks and develop solutions to ensure the safety and stability of structures
• Attend internal and external meetings with clients and team members
• Perform other tasks as needed
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a similar field
• 5+ years of Structural experience with an emphasis on vertical structures (buildings)
• PE license is preferred, but EIT will still be considered
• Strong understanding of structural building softwares (RAM, ADAPT, REVIT, SAFE, etc.)
• Basic understanding of building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, AISC, etc.)
• Prior experience managing others is a BIG plus, but is not required
• Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects at once
