Job Overview: The Manufacturing Fabrication Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and fabrication methods. This role involves working closely with design engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure the efficient production of high-quality components and products.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Design and Optimization:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes and fabrication methods to meet product specifications and quality standards.
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase product quality.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support to production teams by troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address production challenges.

Equipment and Tooling Development:

  • Design and specify equipment, tools, and fixtures required for manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.

Project Management:

  • Lead or participate in projects related to process improvements, new product introductions, and manufacturing capacity expansions.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with design engineers to understand product requirements and translate them into manufacturing specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering or fabrication, preferably in a (specific industry, e.g., automotive, aerospace, electronics).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and fabrication techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
