Resident EngineerDelon Hampton and Associates, Chartered a minority owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic Resident Engineer.(Full-time position located at the Client's Worksite)SALARYRANGE $135,200 to $176,800 per yearThis position is assigned to the Rock Creek Green Infrastructure C (RC-C) project, which includes approximately 60 permeable alleys in the Piney Branch sewer shed. The project is expected to run from December 2024 through January 2027.ResponsibilitiesEstablishing and running construction meetings with client, contractor and construction management staff;Overseeing required field-testing;Verifying project permits are obtained, maintained and properly implemented by the responsible entity;Confirming completion of daily field reports and other progress reporting;Reviewing the contractor's pay application and documentation for quantities of work performed;Attending and documenting progress meetings and other meetings;Performing review of contractor's baseline schedule and monthly progress update schedules;Reviewing submittals and RFIs;Identifying contract changes and determining if the contract change involves a change to the contract price or contract time, and preparing the associated requests for proposals and work change directives;Coordinating inspection and testing requirements and tracking resolution of deficiencies noted in reports; andGenerating and coordinating the closeout punch list, including tracking the status of defective work and deficiency item corrections during the project closeout process.QualificationsA minimum of seven (7) seven years of construction management experience;Familiarity with Primavera Unifier or other web-based construction management software;Experience working on roadways in the District of Columbia;Experience in green infrastructure, stormwater, sewer or other utility construction; andCandidate must be a Professional Engineer (PE) in Washington, DC or have the ability to obtain a license by reciprocity.Working Conditions Work is primarily conducted in a general office environment 10% of the time. Field work is required 90% where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
