Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage formulation development projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with project goals.
  • Train and support chemical engineering team members in adopting new materials and formulations.
  • Collaborate with program management and engineering teams to design, develop, and qualify innovative coating formulations.
  • Identify and evaluate new vendors and materials, coordinating sample requests for feasibility testing.
  • Define chemical process standards, create testing protocols, and document results for internal and customer reports.
  • Develop and implement Design of Experiments (DOE) and validation protocols to optimize formulations and processes.
  • Oversee sample preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, quantity, and delivery timelines are met.
  • Provide technical training to lab and production staff to ensure proper application of new formulations in both lab and manufacturing settings.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical preferred) with 5-10 years of experience in process engineering, focusing on lab work, formulation, and polymer chemistry.
  • Preferred knowledge of medical device manufacturing, ISO 13485, and metallurgical properties of aluminum alloys.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, JMP, and ChemTrak; experienced in wet chemistry labs and anodizing processes.
  • Excellent communication, organization, time management, problem-solving, and independent work skills.
