Additional Information: The pay range for this position is $76,800 to $105,600 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility. The range posted for this role represents a range that Interstates, in good faith, believes it is willing to pay at the time of this posting. The pay is determined by job related skills, training, education, and experience.

Responsibilities- This role leads all aspects of a project design from the initial concept design through the startup and commissioning process
- Design new control panel products, as needed, meeting specific client criteria.
- Provide technical support to panel tech and field leads with shop and field-related questions.
- Participate in commissioning during First Article Inspection with the client present.
- Assist in root cause analysis of issues, collaborating on continuous improvement efforts and new ideas, adapting to the client's designs and concepts.
- Act as a technical expert by working through technical issues with the client, then effectively communicating this information to internal delivery teams.
- Build a collaborative relationship with the client through regular communication, follow up, and feedback gathering, while working within their framework.
- Work directly with vendors on a technical level to assist the supply chain team in building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure smooth communication and troubleshooting on technical issues.
- Troubleshoot and train on equipment and installation issues with field staff and technicians.
- Demonstrate new equipment and technologies to train technicians on the latest industry standards.
- Apply creative problem-solving and adaptability to quickly adjust to evolving designs and concepts in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while consistently delivering valuable solutions.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: B.S. degree from a 4 year ABET Accredited Engineering program. Additionally, should have 5-10 years of experience; or a combination of education and experience. PE License is preferred.
- Experience with CODESYS is a bonus but not a mandatory requirement for this position.
- Control networking experience, particularly with ethernet, fiber, RS485, and similar technologies is a plus.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have knowledge of electrical terminology and drawing of components and electrical symbols. Knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, or EPLAN is preferred but not required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel will be required and will vary according to business requirements. Travel should not exceed 25% of your time. As a client-facing position, regular travel to Columbus, OH will be required on an as needed or weekly to bi-weekly basis.
