It’s our mission to mentor, develop, and train you, as mentioned above, to learn AWS DevOps Engineering, so you can then gain experience and provide world-class consultative services to our end clients.
What You Bring to the Role
- 5-8 years of overall work history experience or 3 years of Professional Experience in software development or systems administration (not school-related IT experience).
- Understanding of basic programming concepts and logic. Familiarity with any programming language, such as Python, Ruby, Go, Java, or JavaScript, is advantageous. Must have skillset in 1 programming language.
- Proficiency in using CLI in a Unix/Linux environment. Basic command line navigation, file manipulation, and scripting skills are beneficial.
- Understanding of version control systems, especially Git.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnets, and basic understanding of protocols like TCP/IP.
- Basic understanding of web technologies, including HTTP/HTTPS protocols, DNS, and web servers.
- Awareness of basic virtualization concepts and technologies, such as virtual machines (VMs) and containers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication and collaboration skills.
- A candidate with a growth mindset and a strong interest in continuous learning is likely to thrive in a fast-paced DevOps and SRE environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and an understanding of iterative development processes.
- Must have a bachelor's or master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Working SQL knowledge with relational databases.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to travel (80% after training portion) and live in the U.S.
- Nice-to-have: Relational SQL and NoSQL databases, concepts of Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell.
