Job Overview:

As a Programmer - Distech and JCI , you will be responsible for developing, configuring, and programming Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC control systems using Distech and Johnson Controls (JCI) platforms. You will collaborate with project managers, system designers, and engineers to implement customized solutions that optimize building performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort. This role requires strong technical expertise in Distech Controls, JCI Metasys

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Programming:

    • Develop and implement control sequences for Distech Controls and JCI Metasys systems.
    • Write and test code to configure controllers, sensors, actuators, and other building automation devices.
    • Program systems for HVAC, lighting, and energy management controls.
    • Customize graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for system visualization and control.
  • System Integration:

    • Integrate Distech and JCI systems with third-party hardware, software, and communication protocols (BACnet, LON, Modbus, etc.).
    • Ensure seamless communication between different BAS platforms and devices.
    • Coordinate with contractors and project teams to ensure smooth installation and commissioning.
  • Troubleshooting & Support:

    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to control systems.
    • Provide ongoing technical support to ensure optimal performance of BAS and HVAC systems.
    • Assist in commissioning activities and perform system testing and validation.
    • Generate reports for performance, efficiency, and error detection.
  • Documentation:

    • Create detailed programming documentation, including sequences of operation, logic diagrams, and system architecture.
    • Maintain system documentation for future troubleshooting and upgrades.
  • Client Interaction:

    • Communicate with clients to gather requirements and provide technical recommendations.
    • Provide training and support to facility staff for operating BAS systems.
