The Mahoning Valley Sanitary District, a political subdivision of the State of Ohio located at 1181 Ohltown-McDonald Road, Mineral Ridge, Ohio 44440, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Chief Engineer.
The Chief Engineer is the superintendent of all works and improvements of the Mahoning Valley Sanitary District who reports to the District’s Board of Directors. The duties include oversight of management, operations, and maintenance of a Class IV water treatment facility presently pumping 24 mgd with a capacity of 60 mgd. This position manages a staff of fifty-three (53) or more employees. The Mahoning Valley Sanitary District provides water to its member cities of Youngstown and Niles and by contract to McDonald, who resell the water to approximately 220,000 end users. Conventional lime-soda softening of surface water is implemented with distribution and storage for the two member cities.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year

- Bachelor's (Required)
Experience:
- as a Registered Professional Engineer (PE): 5 years (Required)
- civil, hydraulic, and environmental engineering methods: 5 years (Required)

- budget preparation and capital improvement planning: 4 years (Required)
- project manager on major water utility projects: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Professional engineer’s license (Required)
- Ohio Class IV or III/II Water Supply Operator Certification (Required)
