Eleven Recruiting is hiring a Certified Electrician to join the Facilities Team at one of our largest Aerospace Manufacturing clients sitting onsite in Simi Valley, CA. The Facilities Technician (Certified Electrician) will focus on maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems while overseeing the general upkeep of the facility's utilities and equipment. This role includes the responsibility for both electrical and non-electrical maintenance tasks, ensuring the efficient operation of the entire facility. The successful candidate will follow safety policies, maintain records, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize facility performance.

Core Responsibilities:

Electrical System Maintenance: Install, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems including conduit runs, lighting, power circuits, motors, control equipment, and electrical panels.

Facilities Maintenance: Monitor and maintain utilities, HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems to ensure all facilities equipment functions properly.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical systems, as well as general facility issues, such as heating, cooling, and water systems, minimizing downtime.

General Facilities Upkeep: Perform routine inspections and repairs on building infrastructure, including lighting, safety systems, doors, and windows.

Preventive Maintenance: Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules for both electrical and mechanical systems to ensure reliability and minimize equipment failure.

Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and departments to support facility needs, respond to maintenance requests, and ensure smooth operations.

Safety Compliance: Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials, adhere to all safety protocols, and maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work performed, including electrical and facilities maintenance tasks, inspections, and safety logs.

Ad-Hoc Tasks: Assist with other duties as required, including facility upgrades, equipment installation, and emergency maintenance.

Job Specifications:

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.

Certifications: Certified Electrician (required) – Must hold a valid electrical certification with relevant experience in electrical systems maintenance and safety.

5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on electrical systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Skills:

Strong proficiency in electrical system maintenance, including high and low voltage systems.

Experience with general facilities maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Ability to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical and mechanical systems.

Familiarity with safety procedures, particularly regarding electrical and facilities hazards.

Strong organizational skills for managing preventive maintenance schedules.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work across various departments.

Ability to work with contractors and vendors for facility upgrades and repairs.
