Our Scientific Lab client is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer. This will be a hybrid role based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Areaapproximately 20-40 hours each week. Candidates who have worked with scientific and technical clients, including working with engineers is a nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Develop, produce, and deliver advanced and unique graphic design products.
- Create designs, concepts, and layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
- Prepare materials for offset printing, digital reproduction, multimedia publishing, andelectronic distribution.
- Create original artwork; develop and execute graphic design assignments; createnonstandard approaches to deal with customer needs.
- Determine the size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style andsize of type.
- Confer with clients to discuss and determine layout design.
- Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with clients orsupervisors and making necessary changes.
- Use computer software to generate new images.
- Customize templates and techniques to produce graphics work; recommend changes toimprove graphics capabilities.
- Collaborate with customers to finalize graphics components (i.e., layout, images, content,etc.
Required Skills
- Ability to plan, develop, and execute graphic design and design layout assignments,including reviewing and recommending changes to customer requirements and ensuringquality of products to better serve Laboratory needs
- Advanced user of graphics software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat,Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop).
- Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience in Graphic Design orrelated discipline.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $ 35.00to $ 40.00an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
